Starfish wrapped candles...... beach theme #1

Here's one of my first project that I completed (super duper fast too!) for my Beach-themed pianoscape that I'll be working on this week.

I bought these two pillar candles at Dollar Tree (the best thing is, you can reuse these candles for ever, so it's just the initial $2.00 expense!). I had some of the awesome fabric leftover from my Photo Pillow project and my Beach insprired wreath to wrap around the candles. I hot glued the piece on (just where the fabric overlaps each other, that way I can take these off to reuse the candle), then attached the starfish. Easy-peasy decorating! These starfish were only .40 each, so basically under a $1.00 for this project (of course, if you need to go out and purchase the candles it will be a $3.00 project! LOL!).

Please stop by each day as I try and get another beach-themed idea for you!

  1. Very cute! Hey I am still doing summer decorating projects and want to copy what you did here. It's a great way to be able to use the candles for other seasonal decorating. Thanks for sharing this tutorial. I saw your post over at Savvy Southern Style.

    1. Thanks for stopping by Miss Kitty! :) So glad you like the idea....I'd love to see what you come up with!

  2. Love these. I may use this idea to change up my own beach theme decor next summer.

  3. So pretty!! I am hosting a Giveaway to win a 50 dollar gift card to the store HomeGoods. It would be great if you stopped by and entered. Thanks Anu
